UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL CAREERS

Fountain Electric’s underground electrical division performs full-scale commercial and industrial utility work, including conduit installations, duct banks, pole bases, trenching, wire pulling, layout verification, and system testing. Underground Foremen and Superintendents lead field crews, interpret drawings and survey data, coordinate equipment and manpower, enforce safety, and ensure NEC-compliant installations from excavation through final backfill. Equipment Operators with CDL support trenching, grading, hauling, debris removal, and precise excavation using excavators, skid steers, trenchers, and tamping equipment. Surveyors use robotic layout tools and CAD platforms to establish accurate elevations, conduit routes, and feature locations, ensuring systems are installed to engineered specifications and site conditions. Together, these roles create a complete underground team focused on high-quality construction, clear communication, strong jobsite organization, and safe, efficient installation of large-scale electrical utility infrastructure.
